Greetings and salutations.

Let's get this forum going shall we?

I am interested on theories and/or facts about what the Knights Templar found in Jerusalem that made them so rich. I've only read so much and wanted to know more. Here is a list of what I've read:

1a-The Holy Grail. The grail itself used at Christ's last supper.

1b-The Holy Grail. The bloodline of Christ Himself. Documents of family from Christ.

2-Mary Magdalene

3-Ark of the Covenant

4-The head of John the Baptist

5-King Solomon's gold

6-Aaron's rod

A few weeks ago The History Channel showed a special on the Knights Templar. I thought it was well presented and I got to learn more things about them. One thing I never thought of was that the Church could have paid them to be quite about their findings. But quite about what? I am open for any suggestions anyone would have!

Hello!

I believe the Catholic church paid them for their protection for the pilgrims traveling to the Holy Land.

Hello David!

I'm sorry, but I don't buy that story. 9 knights to protect pilgrims for hundreds of miles? Its possible, but why would the Church pay them so much for something so little?

see thats the thing. And for the first about 5 years they worked all they did was excavate under the temple of soloman (soloman's stables). When they were done they went back to their benefactors and reported The are had successfully completed the project. What project? Did they find the ark of the convenant? Secrets? Dunno.

As far as the dossies secret from what I understand that whole thing was a plant by Pierre Plantard and De Sede. But if you ask me there is more there then what is presented. I think it was an intential move to obfiscate the true organization which is protecting the Merovingians and that secret.

Bare with me here.

Merovingian Dynasty emerged in France in 447AD and ended in 752AD.
Knights Templar formed in 1118AD and ended in 1307AD.
Priory of Sion was formed by the Knights Templar in 1188 AD and still going today (per theory).

Going off the theory that the Knights found documents of Christ's bloodline, where and how did the Knights/Priory find the rest of the royal family? I have no information about the living style back then so I wouldn't know if royalty were easily traceable or if it was a difficult task. Eventually they found them and what they did afterwards is beyond me. When did the Merovingian start the claim that they are descendants of Christ and what proof did they have? One story I read was that they had healing powers. If one was wounded or sick, they would place their hands over them and then they were healed.

I believe in this theory more than the others for a few reasons. First, the last known Grand Master was Pierre Plantard. As I recall, he was also from the Merovingian bloodline. This would have meant that the Knights found the family and was protecting them. Second, considering that Christ had descendents meant that he must have been married, the Church would have paid bank to keep the Knights as quite as possible about it. That would explain how they got so rich and powerful. Third, when the Merovingian first claimed they were descendents from Christ why didn’t the Church step in and do something then? Why wait a few hundred years to kill them off? Maybe it is because there was now evidence to their claim courtesy of the Knights?

As for the dossiers secret I am still studying up on it. I’ve heard bits and pieces about it before and can’t really comment on it yet.

just a quick remark ( love your post and will go further on it )

The whole deal lies with a myth about the Visigoth kings if i am right who were decendet from a seebeing half/half thats why "Mer" is the word for them !...the fish symbol comes from that !
