I am starting this thread as Part II of the orginal thread which hopefully will continue to float in this Terrorism Forum.

The original point of the thread remains intact, and in my humble opinion has even bee reinforced by recent events.

Here is the orginal topic starter as a benchmark reference point.

quote:
This is a two part thread. Part one deals with J. R. Nyquists analysis at financialsense.com about the hints Al Qaeda has given about the target of its next attack on the US.

PART I: The Coming Attack
http://www.financialsense.com/stormwatch/geo/analysis.htm

Following the next terrorist assault on America, and in Part I the analysis is that the intent will be to kill millions of Americans...

(Al Qaeda spokesman Abu Gheith has stated so recently and is quoted in the "Al Qaeda Finally Admits Guilt" thread)

Update: Abu Gheith has been replaced by Mohammed Ablaj whos official alQaeda communiques are emailed to the al-Majallah newsmagazine printed in London, UK. Another outlet is the "Voice of Jihad" bi-monthly alQaeda publication of Cloud Enterprises of Saudi Arabia. We are expecting Volume 10 to be published soon.

Then the powers behind the scenes (Russia and China, and the Axis of Evil) will launch their attack on an America which is distracted by the terror assaults. Here then is the second part of the thread.

I want to toss this in here as an indicator of how we plan to defend the country...

NORAD, NORTHCOM Simulate Scenarios, Respond in Real Time
American Forces Press Service

PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo., Feb. 20, 2004 -- A major hurricane, a nuclear accident and a nuclear detonation -- all simulated, and all occurring in Texas -- are among the challenges facing U.S. Northern Command forces during exercise Unified Defense '04.

Simulated events also include aircraft hijackings, threats from a fictitious country testing its strategic capabilities, and attacks on maritime and port security by domestic terrorists in Alaska.

Though the attacks are all simulated, the responses are "real-world," said Army Lt. Col. Tim Croft, a NORTHCOM exercise planner. He said some 50 different local, state and federal agencies in Texas, Alaska, Virginia, Colorado, and Washington, D.C., are participating in the Feb. 19-25 exercise. The exercise is testing homeland defense and homeland security efforts, along with NORTHCOM's ability to provide military assistance to civil authorities, he said.

North American Aerospace Defense Command also is participating in a scenario that poses aerospace defense challenges, said Lt. Col. Rob Peterson, a NORAD exercise planner.

In announcing the exercise Feb. 17, Texas Gov. Rick Perry said he hopes and prays that his state never faces a real disaster like the ones simulated. "But if these kinds of catastrophic events do occur, officials need to be prepared to respond," said Perry.

Although exercise participants were briefed in advance about the scenarios, they were not told every detail. For example, participants must determine if the nuclear incidents in Texas are the result of terrorist attacks or an accident, Croft said. The simulated hurricane is providing cover and diversion for a terrorist attack.

Kathy Walt, a spokeswoman for Perry's office who attended a pre-exercise briefing in Texas, raised one question facing homeland defense. She wondered whether terrorists would look for natural disasters likely to occur and then try to time events to coincide with a community or state's response to a natural disaster.

The nuclear detonation scenario simulated killing 300 people and affecting nearly 1,000 residents in a town of only 3,700 people. Croft said this is the first time the Homeland Security Department and NORTHCOM have included a nuclear detonation in an exercise.

Since most exercise activities are being simulated, residents in the exercise areas will not see troop movements, hear flying aircraft, or see and hear emergency vehicles responding to accident sites. The one exception will be in Alaska, where Coast Guard vessels will be visible in the water, but there won't be "any big bangs or anything like that," said Coast Guard Lt. Brad Wilson. He said the public would see little activity.

Military and state planners spent almost a year planning the $1.5 million exercise in which Texas and Alaska officials asked to be included, said Croft. He said the states wanted to test their emergency management functions.

Rod Swope, city manager for Juneau, Alaska, told local news reporters he expects his state to learn a lot from the exercise. "In the event something happens (in the future), we'll be prepared," said Swope.

Besides finding out how federal, state and local agencies will react to simultaneous emergencies, Unified Defense '04 also will allow NORTHCOM forces to get to know one another "and improve our success rate if there should be a real-world event," said Mike Perini, NORAD and NORTHCOM public affairs director. He said if it were possible, the command would conduct similar exercises in all U.S. states and territories.

(Based on a news release from Northern Command Public Affairs Office.)

I am working working on an update since we have firmly arrived at the first day of 1425 A.H.

Osama bin Laden's words and promises of leading a jihad mission have gone unfulfilled. Kinda hard to lead a jihad when you are imprisioned by those you intended to attack.

There is an udate on the NEIN mainpage from a couple of days ago. Read it carefully.

It provoked a major and sustained response from alQaeda, a foreign government and its operatives here in the USA.

US efforts at interdiction of terrorist attacks have succeeded to date tremendously. NEIN's efforts have also uncovered a major terorist cell operating in several US states and at least one top-tier alQaeda operative in this country. I personally handed off this information to a US government agent.

What is the length of time you give between the handing of information to the authorities, and the posting of this information on the internet?

I hope you wait at least a week or so, if anyone does have any legit information that could turn into a 'hot tip', it would be awful for some AlQaida people to see that on this forum, or any of the sites who post this information.

Sean,

I only heard one little spot on the radio about the exercise here in TX (wish I was playing…). There was a 4-seater flying treetops around here for a while - maybe CAP? I’m glad they’re getting this thing off the ground.

Have you any more info regarding Philadelphia, the Repubs, and a rash? I'm not a computer/internet expert, but I usually can find items. I searched yesterday and this morning and can’t find anything. I mean absolutely nothing. Thanks.

Unbelieveable.

You regard what i post as scaremongering and outright lies, and you have the nerve to ask a question like this and then opine on something you know jack-diddley squat about???

And you expect a reply?????

You take care of the other buisness I warned you about, then and only then will I respond to you Matthew.

Capische?

Matt..

Consider this a direct warning. Do not post in this thread UNLESS the topic is regarding the actual topic.

No more playing games.

If you want to post something that is "intelligence-related", newsworthy and real time, then do so.

If you post any more offhanded, smart assed remarks, I'll shut you down.

understand?

This being the weekend there is probably a good chance a lot of people will miss the purpose of this post.

Oh well, here goes anyway...

Breaking Point: 'The Terrorists Next Door'

Friday, February 20, 2004

Sunday, February 22 at 9 p.m ET and 12 a.m. ET
Hosted by Linda Vester

Since September 11, 2001 more than two million illegal aliens have been caught trying to sneak across our borders into the United States. Most of the people apprehended have been Mexican Nationals looking for work, but in 2002, about 8,000 of the illegals arrested were “special interest aliens”. What's that term mean? It means that they were from countries with known ties to terror, people from countries like: Libya, Pakistan, and Iran. There is an endless stream of foreigners, impossible to identify, flooding into the United States, and Americans living on the frontline are concerned. Are these people looking for a better way of life or a way to destroy ours?

The immigration problems at our border with Mexico are well publicized, but there is another country that may pose an even greater threat to the national security of the United States. Why? Because it has become a safe haven for about 50 terrorist organizations, including Al Qaeda. But we aren’t talking about Syria, we are talking about Canada, our friend and trading partner to the north. And with over 4000 miles of border between us to protect, the possibilities are frightening.

"The Terrorists Next Door" is another in an important series of investigative documentaries brought to you by the staff of the Fox News Channel. Don't miss it this Sunday evening at 9 p.m. ET and 12 a.m. ET.

A Message From Linda Vester

A Shocking Investigation

I have to say, I was blown away by the things I found out in the course of doing this special. The more I researched, the more I started getting anonymous tips from the intelligence community about the state of our borders.

One anonymous tip in particular gave me specific locations on our northern border where I (or Joe the Terrorist) could cross freely into the USA without a soul noticing. There's just no physical way you can man the entire border, but what about other forms of surveillance?

And no offense to Canada, but there's a real problem. Their spirit of welcoming the world's dispossessed is admirable, but their asylum system is SHOCKING. When you watch "Breaking Point" this weekend, you will see specific instances where KNOWN TERRORISTS, wanted for the murder of innocent people, have easily stayed in Canada (some are there AT THIS VERY MOMENT).

As for Mexico, a well-placed source says they're doing better on the border, but the truth is the method they're using is not necessarily stopping the smuggling of questionable people (I'm not talking about the average alien who just wants a job). Instead, I'm told it's just raising the PRICE that questionable people are paying the smugglers to cross over into the U.S.

This is important stuff -- some of the things you learn in "Breaking Point" may make you mad, but it's information you should have.

Backstop, lets hear your take on the show.

I found it quite disturbing, and I learned a few new things I didn't know before about the problems with both the Mexican and Canadian borders. Very enlightening sans the warm & fuzzies.

Overall it was an excellent show, with great warnings of dire consequences from both the US (Rep. Tancredo) and the Canadian intelligence agency.

The show also touched on Rick D's "Ground War in the US" thread in the other forum. It is a matter of time before a major firefight erupts on the US/Mexican border. I think a couple of those interviewed are dead right on this issue. I'd rather see local militia light up these infiltrators on the border than the see an American city lit up by the infiltrators.

I agree with Tancredo that it is essential that the US military take up postions on both borders. That is right up the alley for NORTHCOM.
